Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner announced the winner of the 2024 “I Voted” sticker design competition Wednesday, May 1. The winning design was submitted by Carys Smith, a ninth-grade student at Pine View School.
Miss Smith's winning submission was one of more than 350 entries received from 14 Sarasota County schools. The design was selected, in part, because of its whimsical depiction of the many elements that make Sarasota County such a unique place to live.
“I am thrilled at the response we received for our “I Voted” sticker design competition,” Turner said. “We have so many talented students in our community, so it was difficult to pick a winner from all the submissions. I can’t wait to see voters proudly wearing the new sticker design after they cast their vote in November.”
The new sticker design will be used exclusively in Sarasota County for the November 5, 2024 General Election. Anyone who votes by mail (absentee), early in-person or on election day will be offered the “I Voted” sticker designed by Miss Smith.
